ABOUT

Ralf Noack, born in 1978 in Dresden, is a Director of Photography known for his cinematic precision, visual sensitivity, and a deep understanding of narrative tone. Since 2002, he has worked across fiction, documentary, advertising, and music formats—both in Germany and internationally.

He initially studied Art History at the University of Dresden, before pursuing cinematography at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, one of Europe’s most acclaimed film schools. During his studies, he shot his first international feature, Blood Trails, and later received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Hollywood Masterclass at UCLA in Los Angeles.

Ralf's work has been recognized with several awards and nominations. He was nominated for the German Camera Award for his cinematography in the stage adaptation of Kasimir & Karoline, and later won the same award for the novel-based TV film Der Metzger. In recent years, his films and series have screened at numerous festivals, often in competition, and have earned jury and audience acclaim.

Whether working on emotionally intimate dramas, stylized genre films, or visually rich commercial campaigns, Ralf approaches each project with precision, intuition, and a collaborative spirit. His cinematography reflects a strong commitment to storytelling—balancing atmosphere, clarity, and character with visual restraint.

He is currently working on an international fantasy series and preparing a new feature film for theatrical release.
